Life Legacy
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Miss Jimmie McDaniel Byram, age 102, will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 9:00 AM in New Sarepta Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Miss Jimmie was born August 30, 1909 in Oakfuskey, Ok to Maude Lepolian and Louana Stinger McDaniel and passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Minden, LA. She moved to Sarepta in 1985, was a faithful member of New Sarepta Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by daughter, Jeane Newsom and husband, Harold of Sarepta, LA; sons, D.P. Paul Byram and wife, Nancy of Boerge, TX, E.J. Jerry Byram and wife, Emily of Waco, TX; daughter-in-law, Ann Byram of Doyline, LA; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
Miss Jimmie was preceded in death by her husband, John David Byram, September 13, 1985, son, Phillip Ray Byram and granddaughter, Sherry Newsom.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Newsom, Stanley Newsom, George McKinney, Danny Byram, David Hammon and Andy Pickens.
