Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Jane Foster Kappes , age 88, will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 30, 2012, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Chaplain William "Buster" Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery, Sarepta, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kappes, long time resident of this area, was born on October 17, 1923 to Sidney and Kate Clark Foster in Stamps, AR and passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at her home in Springhill. She was a member of the Baptist faith, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Robert F. Kappes, daughters, Mereleen Brown and husband Bobby of Elm Grove, LA, Bobbie Morgan of Bossier City, LA, Shirley Austin and husband Randy of Jamestown, LA; son, Roger Tindall of Bossier City, LA; brother, A.W. Foster and wife Mavis of Springhill; sixteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; fourteen great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kappes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur J. Tindall; son, Charles Ray Howard; two grandchildren; six brothers; and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Tim Vance, Mike Vance, Jimmy Curry, Ricky Vowell, Cody Darst, Joe Pease, Chase Vise, Corey Vise, Cade Bumgardner, Brad Pye, and Wesley Dison.
