Mable Brown Maness

July 14, 1926 - July 28, 2012

Mable C. (Brown) Maness, age 86 of El Dorado, passed from this life on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Timberlane Health and Rehab Center in El Dorado. She was born on July 14, 1926 in Columbia county, Arkansas to the late Ruel Earnest and Hattie C. (Kinard) Brown. Mable's life calling was being a caretaker. She spent her life taking care of others including her children while they grew up, her parents in their elder years and her disabled brother until his death. Mable was of the Baptist faith and was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, representing five generations of family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, U.T. Maness; three brothers, Travis Brown, Terrell Vinson Brown and Ruel Brown; one sister, Jean Matthews; one grandson, Mark Honeycutt and one great granddaughter, Taylor Lawson.
Those left to cherish include three daughters, Peggy Hendricks of Mesquite, TX, Jo Honeycutt and husband Lyle of El Dorado, Terri Leonard and husband Jim of Scott, AR; One son, Sterling Maness and wife Sue of Junction City; nine grandchildren, John Hardy of Dallas, TX, Tina Lawson of Mesquite, Tonya Hardy of Mesquite, Tracy Honeycutt and wife Brenda of Lawson, Greg Honeycutt and wife Heather of Norphlet, Holli Henry and husband Mike of Marion, AR, Margie McIntyre and husband Shawn of Sand Springs, OK, Jackie Walker and husband Chris of McKinney, TX, Bruce Goff and wife Maggie of Junction, City; fourteen great grandchildren, Audrey Lawson and Brittany Escue both of Mesquite, Austin Honeycutt and wife Linley of El Dorado, Kelsey Honeycutt of Lawson, Clayton Honeycutt, Justin and Julie Pike All of Norphlet, Chase Henry of Marion, AR, Colton and Tyler Thomason both of Sand Springs, OK, Kaylie and Alex Walker both of McKinney, TX, Justin and Blake Goff of Junction, City; two great great granddaughters, Kenlee and Madelyn Honeycutt of El Dorado; one sister, Nettie Moreland of Ft. Worth, TX. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Bailey Chapel in El Dorado with Bro. Jim Sayers officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, July 31, 2012, from 5-7 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home.
